Cancellations
Cancellations must be made by 2.30pm on the day prior to your arrival, at least 24 hours before. Please note, advance purchase rates are not subject to changes or cancellations.

Hotels Accommodation Terms & Conditions
- RESERVATIONS GUARANTEE
A reservation is only guaranteed following the provision of a valid credit card number. No room will be held without these details.
Full payment of the total cost of the booking will be taken on arrival at the hotel, together with a pre-authorisation of £20.00 per night to cover any incidentals during your stay.
£20.00 per room per night deposit is required for all Wedding Accommodation and all monies paid are non-refundable nor transferable
- NO SHOW
In the event of a no-show, the full amount of the booking will be charged to this credit card.
- CANCELLATION
General – Cancellation requests must be received by the hotel/venue by 12 noon, 2 days prior to arrival. All cancellations must be made in writing to the hotel.
Wedding – Cancellation requests must be received by the hotel by 12 noon, 7 days prior to arrival. All cancellations must be made in writing to the hotel.
Out with this time, the full cost of the first night’s stay will be charged and any additional nights booked will automatically be cancelled.
- SEVERE WEATHER
In the event that a hotel/venue is unable to open due to severe weather, guests will be contacted to offer rescheduled dates/times in the subsequent 14 days. Dates/times are subject to availability.
All other cancellations are bound by our standard terms and conditions.
- PREPAID RATES
Full payment is taken at the time of booking and is non-refundable nor transferable.
- ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE
Check-in time is FROM 3.00pm.
Check-out is by 11.00am
Early Check-in Request
Where we will try our utmost to accommodate our guest’s request, unfortunately, due to the nature of our business, we cannot guarantee this.
- SMOKING
The hotels are strictly non-smoking hotels. Smoking in any of the Hotel’s public areas or guest rooms is therefore prohibited. The Hotel reserves the right to demand the guest reimburse any associated cleaning costs, as well as loss of earnings from the inability to sell the room. The Hotel, therefore, reserves the right to deduct these costs to the amount of a minimum of £150.00 from the credit card provided at the time of booking.
- DAMAGES
In the event that the guest has caused damage to the property or removed goods belonging to the company, The Hotel reserve the right to charge the credit card provided for reimbursement of the damage/loss.
- PETS
We have a limited number of designated rooms. Please note that pets are not allowed in public areas.
- GROUP BOOKINGS
Bookings of 6 rooms or more are treated as Group Bookings and separate T &C’s apply.
Spa Bookings & Cancellations Policies
Booking Advice
A consultation is required prior to all the treatments on this menu, so that the most effective treatment can be given on the day. Consultation and change time are included in all treatment times shown on this brochure.
Please inform us at the time of booking if you have any medical conditions, skin allergies or think that you are pregnant. A sensitivity test is required before you first tinting appointment.
Arrival
We ask that you arrive at the Spa reception 10 minutes before your appointment time to enable you to prepare and fill in a consultation if required.
We offer our guests a reliable treatment schedule, please appreciate that late arrivals will not receive an extension of scheduled treatment time.
Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are available to purchase for any treatment or Package. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase. Fine selections of luxurious skincare and other beauty products are available to buy at the Spa reception. Please see our Gift Voucher policy for full details.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations or rescheduling of spa treatment or package appointments made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in 100% of the treatment cost being charged. Failure to attend an appointment will result in the full treatment cost being charged before any new booking is made.
Mobile Phones
For the comfort and peace of all our guests we request that mobile phones are switched off at all times.
Age Requirements
The minimum age to access the Spa or to have treatments performed is 16.
Spa Bookings & Cancellations Policies
The Marcliffe Spa is your place for ultimate tranquillity. For your comfort and well-being, we ask guests of the Spa to go through a consultation process prior to any treatment being carried out. This gives our trained Therapists an opportunity to get to know you, and understand your best treatment needs or offer recommendations based on this.
We would kindly ask that during the time of consultation, or before any bookings are made, that you inform us of any medical conditions, skin allergies or if you think you are pregnant. In some instances, a patch test will be required 48 hours prior to treatments. Your therapist will let you know.

Arrival
Please arrive on time for your appointments. However, for your convenience, we recommend you arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow for you to prepare for your treatment in comfort and relaxation.

Party Night Accommodation
All room reservations require credit card details to secure at the time of booking. Full pre-payment is taken on arrival to the hotel.
Rooms can be cancelled up to 14.30 the day prior to arrival. Check-in from 3pm with check-out at 11am.
Christmas & Hogmanay Packages
A non-refundable deposit of £100.00 per room is payable upon booking. All bookings made after 31st October must be paid in full at the time of booking. Final balance must be received no later than 31st October. Please note full balance is non-refundable and non-transferable. Only one block method payment will be accepted for each booking. The hotel will endeavour to accommodate specific requests regarding your preferred table plan; however, we cannot guarantee that every requirement will be met.

6.1 The law of Scotland will apply to these Terms, notwithstanding the jurisdiction where you are based. You irrevocably agree that the Scottish courts will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise out of, under or in connection with these Terms and for those purposes irrevocably submit all disputes to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. The place of performance of the agreement made on these Terms will be Scotland.
6.2 We make no warranty or guarantee that the Site or information available on or through it complies with laws other than Scots law.
6.3 Failure by us to enforce a right does not result in waiver of such right.
6.4 If any of these Terms are held to be invalid or unenforceable by any court having authority to determine such issues, the remaining terms of this agreement will not be affected.
